Unbelievable!!!!

Well, day two of our trip ... Karen and Tim Antonson got in last night. We had breakfast this morning downstairs. First, a man stole one of our bagels out of the toaster. And then, Jack knocked over a whole cup of coffee all over the table and floor! We haven't left the hotel yet so we wasn't sure what today was going to hold! We left the hotel and decided to travel over to Bradley and Taggart Lakes for a hike. As we drove over, we went through a back road of the Teton National Forest. And we saw picture #1! The MOOSE!!! We got about 20 yards from him and he was eating from the bottom. He or she really could care less that we were there. And he would put his whole head under water! It was amazing and the kids were thrilled. Karen and Tim, however, forgot to charge their camera battery so it went dead on the first picture. Our luck continues. We got back in the car and started driving and Karen and Tim pulled over as they were following us. We pulled off...waited...waited and decided to drive back to them. Karen is standing with newspaper over her face. Scott thinks she is having a panic attack??!! NOPE - nose bleed! And she was covered with blood! So being prepared as a mom is, I had tissues and wipes and water. We got her cleaned up. Our luck continues. We got to our destination and parked to take the hike. Picture #2 with the Tetons behind us. We were told it is a beautiful family hike and only 20 minutes or so .... nope. 2.1 miles and took an hour and a half. Do you KNOW how thin the air is here? OMGosh ... we packed a picnic so we are hauling extra weight. Jack is done. He wants carried. We climb and we are talking a steady up hill rocky climb on a dirt path. Spencer and Jack fell at least three or four times. And it is pretty warm. Spencer finally decided that we were like the Israelites trying to make it to the promised land and he found a walking stick and declared himself to be Moses. So we followed him along to the Promised Land as he lead us with his cowboy hat and stick! It was hysterical and Scott and Karen were crying out and begging for God to deliver us!! We FINALLY arrived at Bradley Lake, found a spot and picture #3 is the view we had while we ate lunch over the lake. We can't even begin to tell you how amazing it is here. You have to see it for yourself. We could have sat there all day and just looked at the mountains. It was completely breathtaking. We did get up the courage to go back. It was time to hike the 2.1 miles back down ... a little easier and Jack decided that if he could walk the whole way, we needed to let him stay up until 9pm. So he did the whole walk! It is amazing how far they can go when they have incentive! We got back and then we went to Snow King's alpine hill and rode the carts down the apline trail. That was really neat and the kids loved it. And by then, the kids were dying to swim at the hotel so we went back and swam and sat in the hot tub to rest our feet. I took two Tylenol. My feet were killing me literally! We ordered salad and pizza and once again, we never left our room or our PJ's!!! "Moses" feel asleep cross ways on the bed watching cartoons!!! Scott is snoring. Jack is in bed with him. And Erica left us to have her own bed in Tim and Karen's room! I'm the only one still up .... sissies!
