Glenwood Canyon Bike Trip

Monday, we decided to drive over to Glenwood Canyon Bike Shop and do one of their biking trips. They dropped us off to ride downstream (thank God) right next to the Colorado River and through the canyon. Ok, it was absolutely gorgeous. We had no idea this was here just an hour away and can't imagine if we hadn't done it! Now, let me tell you we biked 16 miles. Yes, that's right, 16 miles!!! Downhill but we still had to pedal and there were a few hills we did have to ride/walk up!! We had a picnic next to the river and the kids put their feet in. The last two miles, Jack was done. He was tired --- can't blame him for that!! We got back to the condo and all crashed on the beds and rested. It was a great day!!! We took the boys swimming next door at the Avon Rec Center that evening. They have this indoor water area with three story slide, smaller slides, sprinklers, a rock climbing wall that is in the pool, and diving boards. Needless to say, the boys were heaven! Erica and Katy were too tired .... they stayed back and colored in the bed!!!
