Down on the Farm

Well, this is our first full day on the farm in Vermont .... this morning, we got up and went to see the chickens and collect organic eggs! Scott went with us. When you go to the door, the chickens all come running and stand there. Well, Scott wouldn't open the door. Why? Because he said, "I refuse to spend my morning running around chasing some stupid chicken while you stand back laughing your butt off snapping pictures for our blog! I'm not opening this door until they move! Look at the one chicken! He knows what I'm doing and he is just waiting so he can bolt!" Now that was almost as funny as watching him actually chase the chicken .... but we collected our eggs, Spencer tried to kiss the pig (just kidding) and well, the cows just stare at us. Either way, the skies are blue but getting gray since another cold front is moving through. It is supposed to be cold on Monday and go down to 38 degrees that night. We will probably have to get the firepit outside going and make our smores!!!
