FROM SCOTT
I was looking over the blog and all the hard work Marsha has been doing..( I wondered where she had been for the last two days..)
Anyway, I saw the picture under her posting about "Roasting in Acadia" and when I saw the picture of myself and Erica holding the boys on a large stick...something stood out to me. Did anything stand out to you? Just click on and enlarge the picture....see it? No...not that I look fat in that shirt but thanks for noticing. It is the fact that in my hand is my Blackberry. I was looking for a signal---just a small one.
We spent the week in Maine with no internet connection which was difficult so whenever we went anywhere, I checked the phone every now and then to see if we had wandered into an area where there was a connection. I found a few. This week we have the internet in Vermont but no phones which is fine with me because if you know me, I would rather have an entire conversation through a text message rather than to talk on the phone.
Just an interesting observation and I thought I would mention it before someone else sees it and beats me to it. By the way there are also NO television channels here at all--none. So let us know if anything we should know....Ross Perot is still the frontrunner right?

Thanks for sharing all these great pictures!! I'm loving them...and the commentary that goes with them. I'm so glad you all had the incredible opportunity to take a trip like this. Have fun!
Tom says if you had a real phone company you would have phone service. Verizon is the carrier of choice in the Northeast apparently. I don't think he realizes how far you are out in the middle of nowhere. I think it is refreshing that there are still places not corrupted by technology.
Personally, I have quit watching the news, it is always the same old same old. Just enjoy your time without knowing anything and you can find out what is going on next week. It will be the same stuff and nothing you want to hear!
I love reading about what you all are doing!
