Lincoln Home Part II ... TA DA!

So, we made the kids sit through a 6 minute video of the home. Two minutes in, Erica does this big "sigh" outloud. A minute later, Jack does this big "sigh" outloud and has to finish it off with "this is sooo boring." LOL!!! Today, Jack has been in rare form all day. We actually had to spank him at one point for his sassy contrary attitude which is very unusual. We had just said the other day, "Man, Jack has been so good on this trip. We have not had to deal with him once!" Well, I should have kept those thoughts to myself because he is making up for it today. And with him, it isn't like he loses self-control physically. He is more verbal and witty about it. And he says the darndest things that really make you want to start laughing and you are trying not to but you find yourself smirking and he sees it and keeps going until you laugh. I think we have lost all credibility with him today. Scott can't stop laughing .... Spencer was the "hey, take my picture" kid today as you can see. Tada!!

The top picture is the gardens that sit directly behind Lincoln's home. It was beautiful and it goes back so far and drops off. There was this huge rock ledge that runs around the back and you look over the whole valley behind the house. It was really amazing. Some of the plants in this garden are from 1906. They have taken great care to keep as much of the house in it's earlier state.
Scott took a picture of me and Erica in front of the trees that were changing.......we had a frost this morning so we are thinking they will change even more as the week goes on. We can't wait to watch the trees behind the farmhouse. We have watched them change little by little in the last three days .......
