Thursday ... Hanging Out

Today, we slept in a little bit and then got up and started on school after breakfast. I wish I could tell you it went smoothly. It didn't go so well at all today. Spencer has determined that IF he complains and wastes enough time, then maybe, JUST MAYBE, he will win and he won't have to do school. So after being disciplined several times and then finally harshly, he worked through his issues. This resulted in a lot of tears from Spencer, me and Scott. It was just a really tough morning for the three of us. I'm just being honest .... this is really hard. Especially when there are two others that have their own needs as well. It amazing how you have to fight allowing one child to rule the roost .... if Spencer gets through this phase, he will hopefully make a great adult! But after school was done, Erica and I went horseback riding. That was the highlight of the day and we both really needed it today. We had such a great time. I have decided that I could do that every day as well. It really is so relaxing being in the woods and taking in the beauty God made. However, in the midst of some of the beauty, I could have done without the horse in front of me that had gas ... OMgosh, it was so bad. I thought I was going to start laughing and not be able to stop! At one point, the horse started coughing and then he really let passed gas and Erica could hear it and we both almost died laughing!! I'm sorry ... I don't know why but I just didn't know horses had gas ..... Her horse's name was Smuckers. My horse's name was Tag. They also took us past this little cabin where they do birthday parties and things for their afterschool programs. It was a great ride!!!
