Where'd I Leave Off???

Wow .... time has flown by at this point. I gotta take some pictures to post some pictures! We did celebrate Jack's 5th birthday which WAS amazing to see! He is such a special little boy and has been a real joy this past year. I have enjoyed every day with him before he starts kindergarten in August. He is really started to read which is so fun to watch! He sounds out letters and puts them together and he is TALKING non-stop. I'm not kidding. He really does not stop talking which at times is wearing and at times hysterical! You never wonder what he is thinking!

I had this amazing revelation last week. I was looking at my timeline in my bible and for the first time, I really read it and realized that the timeline has biblical events and world events on it during the same time! Now I am sure most of you are sitting there thinking "duh, I knew that" but I guess I just didn't put it in real time terms. It honestly never clicked with me that everything I had learned in history class about the Trojan War and the Egyptians and learning about all the gods and goddesses happened while the Bible times were happening and being written. I mean, Sumo wrestling was founded before Jesus was even born!!! So when I realized that my history I have in my head was going on while David and Deborah and Jesus and Paul and all these amazing people were on earth, the bible suddenly took on a different light when I read it! And now I want to know more about the world events that were happening during the same time! I guess I had just imagined that happening all on its own and then suddenly, we just came about. Stupid, huh? Now the Corithian letters and Ephesian letters and the miracles Jesus performed just have a different twist on them. And when in Genesis 3 it talks about men moving farther east away from the Garden of Eden, those men moved to China and Japan and really EAST! Go figure ... my mind can be a very small place at times!!!!!! :)

Anyway, if you have never thought about it, go search it for yourself. I think you might be surprised and maybe as you read His Word, you may realize the very same thing!!!! Hope you are well ... you must be if you are reading this! Have a wonderful day!
