SOCCER SEASON!!!

It's that time again ... soccer ... and yes, it is hot here while we play!! Spencer is doing really good. He is very fast and eager to kick the ball down field and score. Erica smiles literally the WHOLE game. This is her first year and it really has boosted her self-confidence! She just smiles the whole game and is having the best time! Jack is okay with the whole thing ... he likes the water breaks, complains about sweating and blocked two goals his last practice game! He is our one that comes around slowly when it is athletics!!! I love how God created them each to their own talents and personalities ... well, sometimes :) But they are all so cute and we all get to play the whole evening which means we have family time on and off the field. Scott is helping coach the boys. He is just having fun watching them play and being a part of it! And I just love watching them because they are mine!! Jack really does have legs under those shorts!!!!!

It's the MIND, Spencer!!!

Last night, the boys returned from their soccer practice with Scott. I had fixed Spencer's plate for dinner and he sat down and started eating. I walked over to get him a spoon for his applesauce and as I got it, he asked for a spoon and I handed it to him. I then turned around to go get him a glass of milk and he asked, "Mom, can I have something to drink?" And I said to him, "Yes, Spencer, I am pouring your drink right now." And he sat quietly for a minute and then he asked, "Mom, how do you know what I am going to say next?" And I responded to him, "I just know you, Spencer. I'm your mom." And he askes me in the cutest voice, "Mom, do you know how to read my tongue or somethin'?" LOL.....I told him, "No, Spencer, I can read your mind and I know what you are going to ask for next." I just had to share that ... it was too cute not to. Oh and those who know Spencer, at practice tonight, it was the last seconds of the practice game and he ran down field with all he had and kicked the ball as hard as he could!!! Score??? Nope. But he did manage to nail the other little boy with glasses on right in the face and stand there as the little boy burst into tears holding his face. He was okay as they left to make a trip to Lenscrafters probably for new glasses ........... see? What are the chances that this only happens to him??????
