HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY!!!

I know ... for those of you who have known our family since the birth of Spencer, he has been such a blessing and joy to us!! From the moment he was born, he has been happy and lively and 110% all boy. Even during those times that I have been a wreck from all the curiosity of his little mind and hands, I would not change a day. Well ... maybe a few .... but today, we celebrated his 7th birthday. It truly has gone by quickly and it is hard to believe. He is growing up so fast and I swear he has grown over an inch in the last month!! His Levi's fit a month ago and now, they are looking like high waters!!! He wanted a chocolate chip cookie cake for his birthday. Erica helped me decorate it with the icing and sprinkles. Tomorrow, we will celebrate at the park after school with his classmates. At church this morning, he came out after the service with a big wad of wet paper towels hanging out of his mouth. We removed it to only find a lower FAT LIP bleeding and he knocked his top tooth (which thank God it was a baby tooth and already slightly loose) completely loose and swollen and purple around the gum. His friendly Tyler brought it to the attention of the teachers by yelling out, "we got a bleeder over here!" So after cleaning him up and getting a bag of ice, off we went to eat chopped up chicken nuggets from McDonalds. We let him pick lunch and back to old faithful we went:) In the end, it was a good day .... he now has $51 saved with his birthday money and Jack has decided that "Spencer is rich!" Happy Birthday, Spencer! We thank God for your life and love you very much!!!

I fixed it...........

Honey....I fixed your picture below so that it is right side up now.

Love you................

Another Birthday!!!

Tonight, we celebrated my Dad's 66th birthday. For some reason, I can't figure out how to turn these pictures on here so you are going to have to turn your head sideways to see it!!! I may have to email blogger.com to figure that out! Anyway, they came over dinner and we had cake and presents. He loved his WV shirt! Go Mountaineers! Anyway, Erica thought it would be funny to dress the boys up in her stuff that I am saving for her. So Spencer got in the Halloween clown costume and Jack is wearing a ballerina outfit! We figured this will make a great posting for their senior year in their yearbooks! It was good to celebrate another birthday with Dad. He has given us a few scares this last year. We can thank God for time ......

Heart Breaker

You can imagine my surprise when I pulled this little note out of Jack's backpack last week. I looked at the front of this and flipped it over and was even more surprised when on the other side is written in the big, fat pink marker "6442944 Love Kaitlyn" !!!! And this is kindergarten? So much for teaching them their phone numbers for emergencies!!!! Needless to say, Scott and I got a huge laugh out of it. Jack is such a little girl's kind of guy ... he is so sweet with them and funny and sensitive. He will make a great husband some day! The next morning, I held this note in my hand and I asked Jackson over breakfast "what is this, Jack?" He got the absolute cutest smirk on his face and looked down and said, "It is Kaitlyn's phone number." Well, I wanted to know how he got it so I said, "Did she just give it to you?" And he said, "No, I asked her for it. I told her I might want to call her sometime." And he was dead serious!!! It was hysterical .... and the funny thing is, he cannot understand why I won't let him call her after school! I told him little boys don't call little girls at home ... I'm not about to even start that at age 5!!! He is going to have to wait at least 20 years for that!!!! :)
