Jack's 1st Piano Recital

Jack participated in his first recital. What is so funny is he has picked up on the piano very well. It is really easy for him. Actually, all three of the kids are playing and doing great with it. I'd show you the other pictures. However, my camera died for Erica and Spencer's ... what are the chances, really?? Needless to say, I got these pictures of Jack. He is entertaining himself with his cheeks while the teacher is talking. The second one is his "pretty" friend, Abby, that he enjoys very much. He told Scott he thought she looked really pretty and would look even prettier if she had some gloves to wear with her dress!! I think Jack is going to be the next Tommy Hilfiger or something ... either way, doesn't he look so handsome with his tie and dress shirt??!!! He just makes me laugh .... he is constantly cracking us up!!

Jack's Olympic Day

Jack participated in the Olympic Day at school they have each year. All the classes participate and Jack decided to run hurdles, obstacle course and long jump as his events. It was so much fun watching him in these. I didn't get very many pictures without his tongue hanging out!!! That is his trademark when he concentrates! He got ribbons for all three events and placed third in the long jump! He was very proud of his ribbons and rightfully so! He worked extra hard for this! Way to go, Jack!!! Keep up the good work!

Happy 7th Birthday Jack!!

Everytime I do a birthday post for the boys, I am reminded how close in age they are - 13 months apart. And I still go back to when we brought Jack home and I sat on the couch giving him a bottle and Scott was sitting in the recliner giving Spencer a bottle and we said, "Oh if we can make it to when they are 2 and 3, it will get easier. Oh and when they are 4 and 5, 6 and 7, 7 and 8!!" And then, BLINK, we are here!!! And where we got the idea it would be "easier" is beyond me!! Boy, are we wrong all the time! It is easier and harder in some ways. But we wouldn't change a thing! Jack got a Webkinz snake that he absolutely loved and was his favorite present. Erica picked it out and he was so happy with it!! We also went to Cypress Gardens today and got passes for the year. Our plan is to go back tomorrow and play at the water park they have. I'll take some pictures and post some more later. Isn't he just getting so big? His whole face is starting to change from that little early elementary look to the older boy face ...... Jack, you are such a blessing to us and we praise God for all the love and fun you bring to our family! We love your sweet spirit and look forward to everything God has for you!!! Happy Birthday little man!!!

Happy 8th Birthday Spencer!!

In February, we celebrated Spencer's 8th birthday. This was quite a birthday for him. We talked for a solid month about the party he wanted to have. And it all boiled down to him having a football party and them actually playing flag football. So we did ... we invited 10 boys to meet at the park and have football food (hot dogs, chips, cookie cake and gatorade) and play a great game of flag football! What is even funnier is the competition between these little guys! They are all so competitive. Several of them are already natural born athletes and very gifted. We had the best time watching them play. John and Scott were the referees and that was definitely full time! And 8 year olds love injuries! The longer they can lay on the ground and roll around in pain, the more they feel like real football players ... it was hysterical. In the end, I think Spencer had a great birthday. We can hardly believe he is 8 already. And he is becoming such a little man. He still to this day reminds me so much of his Dad ..... how I can love them and want to kill them in a matter of seconds is beyond me!!! What a handsome little guy .... Happy Birthday Spencer!! We continue to be so proud of you and thank God for your life! You have blessed us so much!!!

Happy Birthday to the Best Dad!

I'm trying to catch up on my blogging ..... got a little behind. Life has been crazy around here. I feel like I am a month behind on most of my writing and projects. So as I catch up, we celebrated Scott's 36th birthday!!! The tradition in our family is I will make whatever dinner you would like -- your most favorite meal that I make and your favorite cake or dessert. Well, much to my surprise, Scott wanted "pan fried hamburgers and oven roasted potatoes!!" What? Of all the things I fix that are delicious, he wants pan fried hamburgers???? So it took me a few minutes to sort through this request and after the day, I decided that after all these years, I must have married my father!!!!! Pan fried hamburgers it was ... smashed thin just like Steak n Shake .... only less greasy and less fat. I gotta draw the line somewhere :)
